Opening day was even better than expected! We were crossing our fingers about the weather, as the area had rain and cold for most of the days leading up to Saturday. Thankfully, the clouds broke and the sun appeared. People trickled in at first, but once the sun stayed out longer, people arrived in waves (pun intended). Photographing people who are excited to be where they are makes everything so much more fun. I had multiple families come up to me, asking me to photograph them. There were so many awesome smiles, great food to photograph, and fun events to photograph. It was a blast. The turnout was great.
